OTTAWA, ON (CANADA) April 19, 2017 – Arkalumen’s APT-CV5 controller will be officially launched at Lightfair International 2017 (May 7-11) at the Pennsylvania Convention Centre.

Following the successful beta launch of their proprietary APT-CV controllers in 2016, Arkalumen will make their flicker-free, five-channel DC-DC controller fully commercially available at LFI 2017.  This product incorporates two key advantages of Arkalumen’s patented technology: high energy efficiency and the ability to precisely control the output current on each channel to 64,000 levels of intensity with no flicker.

These controllers enable each of the five output channels to be controlled independently and also allow for a calibrated mode in which defined current levels across the five channels are preprogrammed.  When paired with Arkalumen’s BOLD RGBWW light engines, the APT-CV5 controller can enable a calibrated light output creating an “almost perfect” white light of 95-98+ CRI across a wide range of CCT (2000-8000K).  The user interface can be through DMX, 0-10V dimmers, Zigbee wireless protocols or infrared remote (IR).

Arkalumen’s National Sales Manager, Brian McDonald, stated that “Due to the the efficiency and precision with which the APT-CV5 can control a five-channel LED light engine, we expect this product to become very popular with commercial and architectural light fixture manufacturers, and due to the lack of flicker, interesting to clients for television/film applications as well.”
