TWO NEW PATENTS GRANTED TO ARKALUMEN FOR HIGH-EFFICIENCY CURRENT CONTROL ARCHITECTURES

OTTAWA, ON (CANADA) – July 21, 2015.  Arkalumen has been awarded two patents for groundbreaking new technology in high-efficiency current sensing and current control within a light circuit, enabling users to precisely set output intensities, flicker-free.  A lighting system using this technology can be calibrated in order to generate ultra-high CRI/R9 specified outputs.

US Patent No. 9,060,400 was granted on June 16, 2015.  In concert with this technology, US Patent No. 9,086,435 was also granted to Arkalumen on July 21, 2015.  The application of this technology permits the meticulous adjustment of perceived light flicker-free, by continuously testing and sampling the current, then fine-tuning the voltage output.

Sean Murray, President of Arkaluman, announced the patent grants, saying, “We are very excited about applying this technology to Arkalumen controllers.  With it, we can produce highly energy-efficient controllers that can be used in dual white and full spectrum color tuning applications. The key to making color tuning practical is to keep it simple, precise and cost effective, and that is what Arkalumen is focused on delivering.”
